A Prayer for Market & Margin

 As we have come to place, we do not take for granted each person gathered in this space. Each person here is busy, sought after, pulled in directions that does not easily accommodate a long weekend. And yet here we are together, every guest being a gift offered to everyone else here.

We are grateful for decades of work and relationships that this gathering holds.  People who have worked together or crossed paths and have held questions that refused to leave us alone. We are grateful now for the gift of finding one another, and for Grady and the good souls of Openfields who have worked hard to bring us to Serenbe.

We are grateful for this beautiful place. For land that slows the body before the mind follows. For a table gracious enough to hold all of us. For the particular mercy of unhurried time, which has become, in our lives, something close to sacred.

We ask that what happens here would lift our sight to see beyond the seen as conversations take us to new places and new possibilities. 

We ask that through these next few days, that old friendships would spark creative expression and new ones would take meaningful root. 

May this weekend be one of those rare gifts where we recognize that we are not alone in our journey and there is a heavenly conspiring that will continue to draw like-minded souls together.
